Coldplay - Viva La Vida
Viva La Vida by Coldplay!!! !!! !!! Amazing song that I <3 greatly!!! I discovered it when my music advisor bought a Coldplay cd, and I fell in love with this song when we were out in his truck listening away to this amazing song!!! I've even seen a girl dance ballet to it...
...Viva La Vida starts out quite soft with it's orchestral beginning but soon turns into something much more as a former ruler reflects on his royal past. Then the chorus goes into a full blown amazing climax [that's what she said]...okay, I couldnt resist but seriously it goes into a full blown amazingness with orchestral components. They could rival Josh Groban with this song...
...They are listed as an adult alternative rock group and if this is what alternative rock is then I am a huge fan. It isn't hard rocking out, but it isn't so soft that it's unbearable. It has orchestra parts, and it is absolutely beautiful!!! Usually I pick favorite songs based on lyrical content but this is a rare exception. The other bonus is that it's a clean song...
...So if you like good pretty music then this song is a definite one to look up!!!

I totally adore Coldplay. They don't have a song I DON'T like. I downloaded the Viva La Vida album from iTunes when it first came out. Strangely, I was in a store and I heard the familiar music from "Life in Technicolor" playing, which is an instrumental on my iTunes version, but then... it had words?! I check iTunes today and see there's a bonus song I didn't get "Life in Technicolor ii" ... Must get!
All their songs are clean too.
Do you like the whole CD or just the title song?
@Obiesaseru - Actually Life in Technicolor II is off of their 'Prospect's March' EP. In some versions it is sold right with Viva La Vida in the same CD case...cleaness is a must!!! That's very important to me...what a funny story!!!
@fugu62 - The whole cd, but this song is by far my favorite. I also like Violet Hill, 42, and Strawberry Swing...
